Country Folk Art Festival

The Country Folk Art Festival has a 28 year history as a successful venue for exceptional American Craftsmanship.  Art of the Heartland, Inc. has recently taken over the operation of this show and plans to continue the care and excellence that has gone into this show for so many years. Art of the Heartland, Inc. is family owned and operated.  Robin, her husband Keith and their five children and spouses all work hard to run very organized and professional shows.

Art of the Heartland, Inc. has been promoting various art and craft shows for over 25 years.  Autumn on the Fox during the St. Charles Scarecrow Festival is our largest show with 170 booths and an attendance of 65,000.  We also manage an art and craft show during the Heritage Fest in West Dundee and Christmas on the Fox Thanksgiving weekend at the Kane County Fairgrounds.  Please visit www.artoftheheartlandinc.com for more information.

Robin Reed, the president of Art of the Heartland, Inc. is very familiar with the Country Folk Art Festival. She was the Associate Projects Editor for Country Sampler’s Decorating Ideas magazine for many years. Every year a group from there would go to the show on Friday evening and “make a night of it”.  It was a memorable time that everyone looked forward to.

Robin and her husband are avid antique collectors who have been featured in numerous newspaper and magazine articles. Robin has also appeared on PBS, WGN, HGTV, and other syndicated programs demonstrating painting and craft techniques. They also operated an antique shop, The Memory Merchant, in St. Charles for years.  This passion has stayed in the family. One son currently owns and operates an auction and consignment business called Reed’s General Merchandise in the historic Lily Lake General Store that the Reed’s moved and renovated in 1994.  Additionally, many family members are artisans themselves, which allows them to see things from the exhibitor’s point of view as well as the promoter’s.

We realize that the Country Folk Art Festival is not  a conventional art and craft show.  We are committed to maintaining the integrity and ambiance that has made this such a special event for so many years.
